Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret

Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret Patrick Heavner and Topher Stephens make beautiful, rustic banjos in in Fairview Valley, just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, using 100% native hardwoods.

This fretless, 12-inch banjo with a rolled brass tone ring has a walnut neck, a cherry rim, and a persimmon fingerboard.

This banjo is $1100; a case or bag is available, of course.

Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret fingerboard The scooped, persimmon fingerboard has flush frets (so it plays fretlessly) with dot inlays.
         Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret heel The metal bits are nickel-plated. The heelcap is persimmon to match the fingerboard.
Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret  peghead The headstock is a simple paddle-shape with a handsome wooden inlay in the persimmon overlay.          Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret tuners The planetary tuners are Gotoh brand with ivoroid buttons.
Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret head It is set up with a Renaissance head and a No-Knot tailpiece.          Pisgah Banjos 12-inch Flush Fret neck The 3-piece neck is predominantly walnut.
