The RK-R35 has a Mastertone style tone ring and inlays, yet is distinctively Recording King.

This instrument shares most of its parts with the RK-R80, a highly successful and much more ornate banjo. With the same maple construction, 3-ply maple rim, one-piece flange and the same tone ring, this simpler instrument offers a very economical way to get great bluegrass tone.

	The rosewood fingerboard has a handsome "seagull" inlay pattern.			The resonator is maple, with a light brown stain.
	The paddle-style headstock has a simple fleur de lis inlay.			All tuners are geared, with planetaries for the long strings and a worm-and-pinion geared 5th string tuner.
	The maple neck is one-piece, and has a warm brown satin finish.			It comes with a Remo brand frosted head, a Presto-style tailpiece and an armrest. Beneath that head lies a bell brass, flathead tone ring.
	The banjo has a one-piece flange, nickel-plated, as is all the other hardware.
