Ramsey Hoppin' John Festival Special This unique banjo was presented by ZEPP Country Music, Inc. to Steven Hedgepath, a contestant in the banjo contest at the 3rd Annual Hoppin' John Fiddlers' Convention at Shakori Hills (near Pittsboro, NC) 18-19 September 2009.

The banjo was made by Mike Ramsey especially for ZEPP Country Music in celebration of this festival (note the 12th fret inlay!), and we thought that in addition to presenting a Ramsey banjo to the winner of the contest, we would present it to a contestant chosen at random from those playing in the contest; thus, everyone entered had an equal chance of winning this fine instrument!
