Dr. Roy Smith has achieved quite the reputation as a builder of reproduction necks and custom banjos. He recently decided to make some banjos for sale through a dealership, and we're delighted he chose ZEPP Country Music!

He refers to this banjo as "The "Doves," owing to the small, MOP dove inlays that abound.

It is a cherry instrument having a 12-inch Whyte Laydie-style pot, i.e., an Electric tone ring and a bracket band.

This is serial number 001, though Roy has not marked the instrument at this writing. He promises to do so if the buyer wishes (it will most likley be marked "1101," as the first one of 2011, but it is also the first one he has build for general sale).

It comes with a hard shell case for $2250. Sold.

	The classsic peghead has a mother of pearl doves inlaid in its ebony overlay.			The 12-inch, 2-ply cherry pot is capped by an Electric tone ring.
	This 12-inch banjo has a Renaissance head, a Moon brand bridge by Randy Stockwell,and No-Knot design tailpiece.			The three-piece, predominantly cherry neck is mated to a cherry rim stained to match.
	The scooped ebony fingerboard has MOP dove position markers as well as side marker dots.			The 3-piece neck is mostly cherry.
	The metal is nickel-plated. The 12-inch cherry pot has a bracket band.			All five tuners are Gotoh brand: 4 planetaries and the one worm and pinion for the 5th string.
