Lessons: I teach private lessons for adults on 5-string banjo and guitar*
  • Lessons are scheduled weekly at my home in Smithfield, NC, unless other arrangements are made in advance. Please note that I actively discourage fortnightly lessons, as I have found that long intervals between lessons inhibit motivation.

    • *Please note that my guitar instruction is limited to acoustic instruments only, and only for bluegrass, old-time, and folk-singing. I do not play or teach popular music of any sort, or blues that are best suited to electric instruments.
