Deering Mahogany Sierra

Deering Mahogany Sierra Deering's Sierra has long been about the best buy in a professional grade, American-made banjo.

Until recently, it was only available in mahogany as shown on this page, but can now be had in either mahogany or maple.

With its hardshell case, it lists at $2699, but please call us for selling price. Now in Stock.

Our Pick This is a ZEPP Country Music Pick: I feel that among American-made banjos, the Sierra offers the best professional-grade sound and playability for the buck; the savings comes from the absence of mud flaps and raccoon tails. There's nothing fancy about this instrument--it just gets the job done, and done right!

Deering Mahogany Sierra head The banjo has a frosted head and Deering's proprietary tailpiece and bridge. The 3-ply maple rim is also used throughout Deering's tone ring banjos. This banjo has Deering's standard flat head, "06" tone ring, though an arch top is available as an upgrade.
